Watch as Rev. Dr. William J. Barber, II, and other activists, faith leaders, and impacted persons, including members of the NC Poor People’s Campaign and Repairers of the Breach, welcome in 2024 with solemnity and purpose leading up to the Mass Poor People’s and Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly in Raleigh on March 2. It was broadcast live from Union Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. Bishop Barber’s sermon focused on the theme “Faith Calls at Midnight” and was preceded by testimonies of those who are impacted by injustice, and followed by prayers led by an interfaith group of clergy.
