NC General Assembly: Cease & Desist From Immoral Attacks On Democracy & Deadly Policy Violence

North Carolina is in a state of emergency. We’re facing crises of poverty and low wages, a lack of healthcare, underfunded public education, voter suppression, and environmental collapse. And while 40% of NC residents are poor and low-wealth, our elected representatives in the General Assembly have refused to use their power to alleviate poverty in our state. Instead, they pass monster voter suppression bills to further entrench their power and transfer wealth from the poor to corporate interests and the wealthy.

We’ve had enough. The North Carolina General Assembly must cease and desist from immoral attacks on democracy. They must cease and desist from the deadly policy violence towards poor and low-wealth people of North Carolina. We are issuing a cease and desist letter to the General Assembly outlining our demands, and I’m reaching out to ask for your help. Please fill out the form below to send the cease and desist letter directly to General Assembly leadership: Senate President Pro Temp Phil Berger, House Speaker Tim Moore, House Democratic Leader Robert Reives II, and Senate Democratic Leader Dan Blue.
