Congress is planning deep cuts to the social safety net including:

  • 13.7 million: Number of people who will lose Medicaid under the current House Reconciliation Bill

  • 11 million, including 4 million children: Number of people who will lose SNAP under the current House Reconciliation Bill

  • 4.5 million: Number of children who will lose the Child Tax Credit under the House Reconciliation Bill (does not include 17 million who already don’t qualify for the full credit due to low incomes)

AND it doesn’t have to be this way! We demand an expanded social safety net that lifts from the bottom and allows all of us to thrive, not struggle to survive!
